Computer lessons at Al Noor pre-primary School
What our computer lessons are all about:
Our syllabus is one that ensures improvement in the learners’ computer knowledge. Their skills are developed in many areas including; hardware (key identification, mouse control) and software (Microsoft Word, Paint, PC features and navigation).
What happens in the computer room:
Each class has a different experience in their computer lessons. From watching videos, to playing games, to using advanced programs like MS Word, the children are able to learn new things and stimulate their minds. Our lessons are fun, interactive and sometimes challenging.

- They are able to recognise letters and numbers on the keyboard.
- They are able to find their way around the computer.
- They become familiar with what a computer is able to do.
- They also learn various other skills which builds confidence within them.
Dropbox
As technology advances, so does everything else around us. Last year we introduced the ‘cloud system’ which allows each parent to access their child’s portfolio on any computer or mobile device, using Dropbox. At the end of each semester each child is presented with a report card which contains a list of activities done and skills gained during the semester. The report also has a url which takes the parent directly to their child’s folder of activities.
