Arabic

There can be no doubt that learning the Arabic language should be one of the top priorities for a Muslim or a person wishing to study Islam. The only reason this is so is because the Arabic language is the language of our religion and the language that the Quran-e-Kareem was reveled in. Allah Ta’ala says: “Indeed, We have made it an Arabic Quran that perchance you will comprehend (Surah Al Zukhru 3)

Just as the Quran-e-Kareem came to us in Arabic, the Sunnah of our beloved Nabi (saw) is in Arabic as well. Both of these sources are Arabic in their wordings, their idioms and meanings. All of our supplications including our prayers are in Arabic as well. If a person wishes to acquire Islamic knowledge, he should learn the Arabic language and acquire the solid understanding of it. This is why at Al Noor pre-primary we have chosen to introduce Arabic to our children at such a tender age. At this age children are like sponges and they tend to absorb a lot.

At Al noor preprimary we have Arabic lessons once a week and a full Arabic assembly every Wednesday. Arabic is taught in a fun and constructive way. At the end of the year, each child is assessed individually and a formal report is given to the parent. Every learner requires a 20 page flip file for the Arabic lessons. We also showcase a fairytale story in Arabic twice a year at our concerts. By exposing young children to the Arabic language in a fun and easy manner, we hope that Insha’Allah they will one day, understand the meaning of the Holy Quran-e-Kareem.
